Before you import
- Is it free?
- Importing a game and its Stockfish analysis do not cost credits. You can try the written coach within free usage limits, and a free voice trial is available subject to availability. Some coach features use credits when signed in; continued voice coaching requires an account and credits.
- Do I need an account?
- You can import a game and run Stockfish analysis without a WhyThisMove account. The coach asks you to sign in when your free allowance without an account or voice trial ends. Importing only needs a public username or game link, never your Lichess or Chess.com password.
- Which Chess.com games can I import?
- By username, the app lists recent standard chess games with an available PGN from your latest monthly archives. You can choose a game, or paste a Chess.com live or daily game link for a specific game.
